New Fabia Skoda Advert

I love this new advert for Skoda. Considering Skoda has always had quite a poor public image I think this advert has totally changed everyone's perceptions of the company. In just 10 days of releasing the advert, 37,000 people visited their website. The tagline is 'The New Fabia. Full Of Lovely Stuff'. The concept of the advert and the song used, 'My Favourite Things' from the Sound Of Music, both work together to fulfill this promise.

There are some really interesting facts associated with this £500,000 advert, such as 180 eggs, 100kg of flour, 100kg of caster sugar and 12.5kg of jam were used to create this cake. I think it is really clever the things they have come up with as subsitutes for parts of the car, such as red jelly for the brake lights, boiled sweets for the headlights and liquorice for the bands in the engine.

The whole advert can be viewed at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NwBE1l6QexU

I love this advert. Finally, a Skoda we can get on board with!
